At Anchor Services Group, the mission to help those in need is close to our hearts. This year, we’re asking for your support in making a difference in the lives of our local homeless population.
My younger brother, Adam, passed away from a heart attack on June 26, 2024, behind the Walmart on Hudson Bridge. He had lived on the streets off and on for more than 20 years. The struggles he faced left a lasting impact on me. In his memory, I want to do what I can to help others who are in similar situations.
Many in our homeless population, like my brother, face additional challenges such as mental health struggles, addiction, or other difficulties that make finding stable housing even harder. Providing basic necessities like warm clothing and toiletries can help offer comfort and dignity as they work to survive in these harsh conditions. Imagine trying to sleep in 30-degree weather, without enough warm clothing to protect yourself as you emerge from a sleeping bag or tent. This heartbreaking reality is faced by many in our community during the cold months.
🩵 We’re collecting:
⚓️ Gently used blankets and sleeping bags
⚓️ New socks, underwear, thermal underwear, and t-shirts, (primarily in men’s sizes)
⚓️ Hats, gloves, and scarves
⚓️ Basic toiletries – toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, chapstick, etc.
We’ll be gathering donations and making regular distributions throughout the cold months, providing warmth and essentials to those who need them most. We will also be listening to their specific needs so we can better serve them,
This effort ties directly into our values of being Helpful and Impactful. With your support, we can honor my brother’s memory and help bring comfort to those in need this winter.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Current clients can leave donations with our technicians during their next cleaning, and we’ll handle the rest. If you’re not a current client and would still like to contribute, please contact us to arrange a drop-off.
